Kirsty Foster - Senior Lecturer in Medical Education

Kirsty joined Northern Clinical School as Senior Lecturer in Medical Education in March 2007. During her 17 years experience as a full time general practitioner in Scotland she was always enthusiastic about teaching medical students and young doctors and since coming to Australia in 1998 Kirsty has worked in medical education. She completed a Masters of Education (Adult Learning & Global Change) in 2004 and is currently working on her PhD in Medical Education. She has seven years experience as postgraduate medical educator at RPA Women and Babies establishing and running interprofessional work-based education programs for medical and nursing staff. Kirsty has also been involved in planning and delivery of rural outreach education programs and in international medical education initiatives in Macedonia, Croatia and Vietnam.
